Captured Fairy Jar

Have you ever been fascinated with the idea of capturing a fairy? I just love a little story told in a pickle jar. I finally captured my own little treasure this Spring. She was dancing among the blooming cherry blossom trees in my yard and I couldn't resist her charm.

My favorite part are the bird eggs at the bottom of the jar. I scored some wood eggs at an after Easter sale at the local craft store. With a little paint, these lovely eggs look realistic! I just fell in love with the way they look. One day I'll do a whole jar of eggs painted and speckled in a variety of colors.

  2. Oh it's beautiful. I'm still trying to figure out how to make one :/ All the instructions on-line I can find, say things like, "secure the fairy inside" Am I stupid? I know that bit, it's the 'how' that stumps me? Gorgeous job you made of yours - very pretty. Love your eggs!

  3. Thanks for all the kind comments. Just to add some other insider tips on how to attach the fairy inside. I simply had added some "tabs" to her feet which I folded back, dabbed on some sticky glue and with tweezers in hand positioned her inside. The the foliage was arranged to cover this up. You never would know!
