At the Craft Shack

Last Sunday I transformed my basement craft haven into the CRAFT SHACK and had some friends over to share in some communal creativity and munchies. After talking about getting together for over a year, we finally did it and had so much fun.

I showed some friends how to alter fashion magazine ads (you do NOT need to be a painter to do this). I keep forgetting to take before and after pictures of the ads, so in a future post I promise to do some step by step photos. This is a really cool and fun thing to do that I saw at a CHA show one year.

Terri taught Andrea how to bead her own bracelets...which I'm going to have to learn how to do this.

And of course, the day could not end without some Mod Podging . Emily and I bought the same cute mermaid print at the Yellow Daisy Festival last year and wanted to decoupage it onto a canvas.

After having this print get tossed around the house it was time to dazzle it up. It was fun sharing ideas on how to embellish our canvas. I really want to do this again with some other prints I have rolled up.

  1. I had a great time at the Craft Shack. It's always fun to learn something new and be around creative people. It was good to get out of the house. Thanks, Cathy

P.S. When's the next Craft Shack gathering? You know I'll be there.
